The work
From Puerto Rico to Central Florida, with the guitar at the center.
My public music history spans live performance, original projects, production, and instrument design. My sound brings together jazz lines, Latin phrasing, rock edge, and a focus on melody.
Playing came first, and everything else grew out of it. Years on stage, both clubs and churches, taught me what an audience actually wants to hear. That shows up later in how I balanece a mix or where I place a brace inside a guitar top.
Producing other artists sharpened my listening. Building instruments made me realize how sound can be constructed and changed physically. That same perspective carries through the studio and into the SieteQuinto, a seven-string instrument I developed from my long relationship with the requinto. I paired this with a simple question about what jazz and Latin playing would sound like with a seventh string underneath.
These thing all work together. The same skill set and experience connects the performances, the records, and the instruments.
